The best challenge is to get them invokve in communicayive activities better than let them with an individial practice. So we have to plan a lot of communicayive or speaking practice in advance
ReplyDeleteI consider is important that thevstudents práctica More in groups they be the centre of the class but the students don't participate only a small group they have
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteI think is important the students practice english in class. Form in small groups or preference becuase students feel more motivate learning english. For example students feel motivate choose the correct material for practice. I consider to necessary as teacher listen to the students and can see the problem in learn english.
DeleteWe do not have many hours. We have different levels in the classroom.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenge is to get emphaty among students and their teachers and also to connect the context of the students with the knowledge of teaching process
DeleteThe best activity is act out for my students. They love to talk about your favorite topic.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenges are: Teachers has to use easlier and short activities when students are getting in class because the time for this class is really short and the gruop of the students per grade are too big. So Students have to participete when the teacher explain your ideas. It's really good for them to improve your speaking skill.
DeleteOne of the challenges in which students can practice. English in class is using The four skills in the English lenguaje.
ReplyDeleteThe most challengeable activities for working with my students in the classromm are related with the speaking skill. The students are afraid of making mistakes and the other students can laugh at them. However, we should give our students the confidence to do it and practice no matter of the mistakes that they have. That is the starting point. Additionally, the listening skill results difficult not only for students sometimes also for teachers. I usually prepare different activities that involve listening and help me and my students to develop this skill in a better way. Doing it step by step.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you especially when working with teenagers, they do not want to expose themselves in front of their peers.
DeleteSometimes the speed of the audios difficult understanding.
I have experienced that the biggest challenge is for teachers to create appropriate and effective activities to get learners involved in the task and use the target language.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Narcisa. I have realized that the biggest challenge is for teachers. We need to create opportunities for students to speak and practice, they can listen each other and correct each other when they work in groups.
DeleteHi, I think that the biggest challenge for getting students to practice English in class is the time, there is no much time to learn and practice, the culture at home is different in every home, the most of students don't get interest in this subject, but, we can motivate them with collective interests according the generation.
ReplyDeleteThank you- I think students' collective interests are a very important factor in motivation....
DeleteThe challenge as a teacher is the challenge as a teacher is carry to the students from knowledge to the practice. From my experience the students have developed mental barriers in the acquisition of a new language. the thing is to create safe Risk enviroment in the classroom.
ReplyDeleteTHanks Marck- And I strongly agree- a safe environment is very important to get them practicing!
DeleteThe challenges offered by the English language are diverse and it is there where we as teachers must encourage students to learn from mistakes and as English is a new language there will always be mistakes. Unfortunately, at the institution where I work, the English language is reduced by one hour because it is bilingual, but it is a matter of optimizing the hours that you have during the day.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree- hours are always límited, but we have to do as much as we can with them.
DeleteIn my point of view, the biggest challenges for getting students to practice English in class is to get them involved in the learning process, and to find activities that will help them use the language and communicate as in real life situations.
ReplyDeleteThanks Adriana- I agree that real life situations are super important!
DeleteI consider the biggest challenge is the amount of students in each grade. If classes would have less students in each grade, it's much easier to emphasize more on speaking activities and students are able to be more participative and willing to take the chance.
ReplyDeleteToo many students are super hard to deal with! What are some strategies you have for getting them talking in large groups?
DeleteI consider that the biggest challenge is to change their minds, because most of them consider that English is not necessary to learn due to they feel like they will never use English in their real context.
ReplyDeleteThat's a BIG challenge Johana. And kind of sad. Will they really never have a chance to use English? ¡Que lastima!
DeleteThe biggest challenges for getting students to practice English in class is to encourage them to get involved in the learning process and create appropiate, and useful activities that allow them use the language in real situations.
ReplyDeleteI think that the best challenge until now it´s been the song, where the students develop the speaking skill to show the pronunciation also work in groups. when is the short tasks they have ten minutes or depend of the task for last for remember the before class three or four minutes.
ReplyDeleteEl mayor reto es que los estudiantes tomen interés el ingles
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteEstoy de acuerdo- y siempre me pregunto porque no tienen interés...
DeleteI do believe that the biggest challenge is face anxiety and confidence during the English classes. Anxiety affects working memory function as well as the ability to concentrate, affecting students' learning. On the other hand, confidence helps learners to express freely and fluently.
ReplyDeleteThanks Cesar- I agree that anxiety is a serious barrier to learning in so many ways...
DeleteThe challenge is for teachers to create appropriate and effective activities to engage students in the use of language, also is necesary motivate the students in each class.
ReplyDeleteEncourage them to participate by cooperative, interactive and meaningful activities so planning is vital. Additionally, invite them to use the English language at lasts 5 minutes a day by themselves.
ReplyDeleteThe best challenge is to talk about real situations or preferences, sports, activities, etc. it is necessary they work in groups and share the information in class for the other students, at the end of the class, all the students know about the topic and understand using their own words, and facilitate the general participation.
ReplyDeleteI believe the biggest challenges in getting our students to practice as much English as possible in class are the large number of pupils that we have inside our classrooms, the lack of motivation of them, and the low self-esteem they have to start using communicative skills between them. As teachers we always motivate to our students to be envolve in the learning of English Language in an interactive way focusing on the productive skills in order they can become aware the use of English on their real life.
DeleteI think that the best challenge is getting students practicing speaking in the class because they always feel insecure. We need to plan some activities that develop speaking skills.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI thing the biggest challenges is encourage students to participate in diary school english activities giving the real opportunity to practice each one by more time. We can get it when we form groups to do a task. It will cause they develop the communication skills. As in the video said. Skills requiere practice
ReplyDeleteI think the best challenge is to make them speak and read more
ReplyDeleteI think, the biggest challenge is getting students practicing speaking in real life for expressing thier feelings, emotions and real situations because they don´t have the necessity to express in english, their environment surround in spanish.
ReplyDeleteI think the biggest challenge is to develop speaking skills because the environment they live do not help them apply the language and there are not enough opportunities to improve their oral communication due to lack of time
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame they don't have much opportunity to practice outside of class. How much practice do you suppose they're getting inside the classroom?
DeleteWell, I think the biggest challenge is to get the students focused in class with the planned activities.
ReplyDeleteI think the better option is that the ss. should practice in class between them and as teachers encourage to practice using a normal speech
ReplyDeleteI agree strongly, Mary! There's only one teacher. If they only practice with the teacher, practice is very limited. But if they practice with each other, that's a LOT more practice.
DeleteConsidero que el mayor desafío es aprovechar el tiempo, y motivando a los estudiantes que lo aprovechen practicando el idioma al máximo entre sus compañeros y interactuen con el profesor dentro y fuera del aula.
ReplyDeleteLack of confidence and the tendency of using their L1 language. This is why confidence is needed to be built. The video also refers to having 40 students per class and 40 minutes of teaching. It is difficult to make all students practice English consciously even if they work in groups, constant feedback is needed and 40 students in 40 minutes sometimes can be hard. Then, patience is an essential quality English teachers in Ecuador must develop in order to continue teaching with good spirit.
ReplyDeleteStudents don't have opportunities to practice speaking outside classroom. There isn't a place where they need to speak in English. For example a restaurant .Students need to feel that speaking English is useful for them.
ReplyDeleteHi, First at all, students are affraid of speaking in public because some classmates could make fun of them. Also, they don't like to read. As a result, they don't have enough vocabulary to create accured sentences. Consequently, they are shy about sharing their ideas. Besides, in their homes they don't have a real L2 environment, so they can't practice. Thus, in class they don't feel confident abou their Speaking skills.
ReplyDeleteTHanks Maru. I wonder why they don't like to read? As a language learner myself, I find reading so useful...
DeleteI think that the biggest challenge for students is getting to express the Language. In our country the environment where they are taking their classes aren´t appropiate way for teaching. So lack of motivation and interest in that. We can apply the language in real situations with meeting at shop, at restaurant, park ect. Also they will be able to share their desire, goals, neccessity etc.
ReplyDeleteThere are several challenges that seem to surface when referring to the difficulties with teaching EFL. Until 2016 most students didn't even begin learning English until they reached 8th grade. This made the situation very difficult because the lower grades (namely kindergarten to 4th grade) are vital for the development of speaking skills. Older students are used to having basic knowledge and skills in other areas of education, but many times the same is not true for English so they give up easily and just try to "survive" English class. But we don't just want our students to survive in English class; we want them to florish and in order for this to happen we must carefully plan our classes to maximize student interaction.
ReplyDeleteIn order to improve the process of learning English as language, teachers must perform tasks that will be easy and entertaining
ReplyDeleteas a result of this students will want to repeat them and with this we will achieve that they learn more.
But they must be tasks that are not only present in the classroom. The big problem tha Ecuador has is there is too much students in the classrooms. The chalenge is that teachers need help from technology, but first teacher needs to be technologics , and generate a new way to teach with tech.

ReplyDeletethe biggest challenges for getting students to practice English in class is to get them involved in the learning process, and to find activities that will help them use the language and communicate as in real life situations.
DeleteUp to now, teachers are better trained than those teachers in the last past 20 years. Therefore, most of them are well-knowledgeable what to do in classes in order to promote language skills achievement. In fact, more and more students are speaking English inside the classrooms. For that reason, there should be more English speaking linguistic policies to use the target language outside the classrooms. It means, promoting the use of English when purchasing in local stores, labelling streets, providing customer service information in English and so many other activities. In other words, to encourage the use of English in all daily aspects in life. Thus, today's society will feel the necessity to communicate in English as much as they can. To sum up, If you don't use it, you lose it.
ReplyDeleteI agree that if you don't use it, you'll lose it! I'm wondering, though- where, in real life, do students currently have a need to use English? Where will they use it in future opportunities?
DeleteI think that the biggest challenge, is that the student do not have friends to speak English, and also is not only English that they recieve in class they have other subjects, and in the rural sector they don't care too much about the language.
ReplyDeleteI consider that the better way is when the teachers open their minds and they apply innovative strategies and resources, seeking to satisfy the needs and interests of the students. Teachers must always be ready for new changes. Besides, the most important is the motivation and didactic that teachers use in the class.
ReplyDeleteThere are several challenges we face at the time of lettting our students to practice English. First, I will say the need to create a peaceful environment where they can feel accepted, so they wont feel shy or scared to make mistakes. Our students need to feel respected even when they were nott using acquated English. Second, I consider one of the greatest challenge is to have a good classroom management where they can flousrish with all the ingredients of oral production.
ReplyDeleteGetting students to practice speaking is very difficult. I think that several things play into the problem.
ReplyDelete1. The feeling of being embarrassed in the class. I find that if the student is around 10 or 11 years they are more open to expressing themselves and are less embarrassed. When they are older, they begin to feel more insecure about their abilities. I think as teachers we should make the classroom a place to express themselves without feeling ashamed or embarrassed. We are all learning, even the teacher. I let then know that I am also learning. Having a non-judgemental setting really helps them to feel more comfortable in trying to express themselves in English.
2. The topics. It is very hard to plan a speaking activity to capture the attention of all the students. Some are interested music and others in popular TV shows. But you can only talk about certain topics for so long before they become old and less engaging.
3. The level of English that each student has. The ones that have a higher level of English are going to be the most confident and they are the ones that will do most of the talking. But the students with a lower level won't want to participate.
Really, this is a huge problem that I face in my classroom every day. It's the most difficult. I have thought over and over about this problem, there isn't an easy solution in my opinion. That's why I'm here. I want to learn new ideas.
I consider the biggest challenges are the little effort sometimes we do to make classes different following traditonal methods, the little interest students have in learning English because they are afraid of making mistakes and think they will never use it. CLT is an excellent method that could help our students to interact an learn in a menaingful way. Also, we need to be aware that most of the students in public institutions have very low level and content in books is not the reality they face.
ReplyDeleteA good starting should come from teachers first and we patience, effort and optimism we could achieve positice results.
In my opinion the biggest challenge we have in class. The students are shy so its dificult to share with them.
ReplyDeleteTHanks May. I wonder what makes them so shy?
DeleteI think that, the students need to practice more english with exposition. It is the biggest challenge for me because they have to interact in front of another person when they are talking about.
ReplyDeleteOne of the biggest challenges that my students have is that they are afraid to make mistakes when they have to participate in class, because other students start to laught if anyone has a mistake. Sometimes it 's hard to try to motivate them, so I offer them additional scores if they participate actively in class, doesn't matter if they do good or wrong because I need they are able to speak in English in class.
ReplyDeleteThe best challenge is to get them involve in communicative activities better than let them with an individial practice. So we have to plan a lot of communicative or speaking practice in classes and let Students talk between them In English.
ReplyDeleteI consider that the biggest Challenge is that students are not confident about talking English because their prior knowledge is not rich, and their pronunciación is not good. So, they don't feel prepared to participate in front of their classmates. Another obstacle that teachers have at schools is that they do not have enough resources to work with listening skills, students need plenty exercises in orden to improve this.
ReplyDeleteI think the biggest challenges for getting students to practice English in class are time and create appropriate and effective activities to get learners involved in the task and use of English
ReplyDeleteEl mejor reto es entablar pequenias conversaciones que utilizarían en su vida diaria, incentivando a iniciar conversaciones a partir de la necesidad que ellos tengan de comunicarse ya sea en su casa, escuela, etc.
ReplyDeleteOne of the biggest challenge for me is the teacher getting involved in new and active classes with Tics as a support in the classroom to help students.
ReplyDeleteI consider the biggest challenge for getting students to practice English in class is to prepare appropiate activities that engage them in the acquisition of the language. When students work with attractive tasks they feel more enthusiastic about practicing English and interacting with others.
ReplyDeleteFrom my point of view, there are two biggest challenges. The first one is adjusting time to help all my students express their ideas or thoughts. The idea is using forty minutes encouraging them to speak or use english in my class (TLC). The second one is building students' confidence or self-esteem. Most of the students are afraid of making mistakes when speaking so they avoid using english in an English class.
ReplyDeleteEl mayor reto son las pocas horas en el horario del estudiante, hacer que se involucren y no contar con actividades y en su entorno no tienen con quien practicar
ReplyDeleteI think the biggest challenge for getting students to practice English in classes is time. As you said, our curriculum specifies academic periods between 40-45 minutes. Apart form that, we have large classes. So, it is almost impossible to achieve the students involvement in activities related to language production.
ReplyDeleteMi reto es buscar la forma como los estudiantes aprendan y pongan interés en la asignatura
ReplyDeleteI think the best challenge is involving students in easy and short activities for improving their speaking skill, of course we can get this goal with a lot of practice.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI think , We should work more in practice, the question is how? Something that helps me a lot is to explain by mimic to avoid using Spanish as little as possible, also in practices such as conversations, or going to the blackboard we must give them security, supervise the activities. When the students have an error, give them the security and, if possible, tell them that when we as teachers began to learn English, we had errors and much worse than those. :) All those things help us a lot
ReplyDeleteI think....we should start with questions and specific topic....they should paractice more vocabulary they can answer these questions just wiith one words and mimic too.of course we need more time since the classrooms are too full....
ReplyDeleteI think one of the best challenges for students to learn english is to talk to them all the time english in the classroom even when you participate in a simple or casual conversation.
ReplyDeleteI think that, the students need to practice more short communication activities about their favourite topics. As teachers should work more in the speaking skill.
ReplyDeleteI think they are afraid to make mistakes, they are many students per class and they have different levels of knowledge.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenge is help the students to understand that they need to read in order to achieve enough vocabulary and create accurate sentences and, consequently, feel more confident about their speaking skills.
ReplyDeleteAnother challenge that I had faced is the extend units program that as teachers we had to complete in a length of time.
The biggest challenges are that students lose their fear of talking, doing homework, getting involved in class
ReplyDeleteI think, we have to talk about the importance of English, we can also have to motivate students to practice all the skills throught different topics, according to their interests.
ReplyDeleteThe best way to learn English is speaking!
One of the biggest challenge is to get from the students the enough motivation so they do not feel afraid of participating in class with or without confidence.
ReplyDeleteI consider one of the biggest challenges as teachers is the time. Some of the topics that students learn require a lot of time and 40 minutes or less, in the majority of the cases, are not enough to cover a single topic. Apart from that, when students learn something new they also show their doubts or need some kind of reinforcement in classes, so the time in that situation isn't sufficient.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenge in class is students talk and think in English because they feel afraid to make mistakes and they need to develop more conversación practice each other.
ReplyDeleteThe greatest challenge for the teacher is to instigate students who have an interest in the subject of inglish, whether by playing motivational groups games, writing, practicing speech.
ReplyDeleteThe best way is to get them involve in different activities in the class than let them with an individial practice.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, the biggest challenges for getting students to practice a lot of English in class are mainly in speaking because teachers need to get involve all the students in the class, using didactic material which motivate them to talk without fear and we as teachers shoud give them that confidence.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinión the biggest challenge that I 've found it's the time, because it's too short to practice English in class
ReplyDeleteI think that the biggest challenges are: for teachers to look for meaningful and communicative activities to make Ss practice whay they really need to learn. Also, we have to support our Ss when they have to speak the target language even they make mistakes. Ss have to unde4stand that learning comes through mistakes, so they will fell confident day by day.
ReplyDeleteI would say the biggest challenge is getting them out of the comfort zone, because while we get to the place we have the classes, they sometimes speak in Spanish, and we have told them about that, and they speak English when teachers are around the, but when students are alone, they don't practice. I know after all the challenges they will have in their lifes, they are going to change that.
ReplyDeleteI believe, the big challenge is that students can structured long dialogues in english or receive classes speaking only in english .
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenges of my students is their limited vocabulary as the fact that they are more likely to make mistakes while talking among each other.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the most challenge is the time. Teachers prepare activities for a short period of time and listening and speaking are not included. Also we have too much students in the class. We can´t practice speaking with all.
ReplyDeleteI regard the biggest challenges that I have observed trhough my experience as an English teacher have been the affraid to practice speaking skill, since acquisition of vocabulary play an important role at the time to express an English idea and it does not allow them to be fluent.
ReplyDeleteI think the best challenge is to get students to practice speaking in class because they always feel insecure. We need to plan some activities that develop skills to improve coexistence in class so they can speak without fear
ReplyDeleteDesde mi percepción considero que el mayor desafía es que los estudiantes estructuren diálogos cortos e interactuen entre ellos.
ReplyDeleteWell, I think the biggest challenges for getting students to practice English in class is to have the better conditions under which the students are learning. I mean, provide them good resources to help our students acquire their own skills to be effective learners retaining and applying the learning.
ReplyDeleteHi.. I teach 2and 3 BT and elementary school, too.
ReplyDeleteI think the biggest challenge is student can communicate each other in a second language but I've tried to apply different communicative activities that help them to practice and lose their fear.
ReplyDeleteWell, I think the biggest challenges is the time and very little vocabulary. In my class like than the students work in group. I have also noticed that one way to learn vocabulary is whit songs and young people really like it.
ReplyDeleteSongs are great!
DeleteMy point of view about the biggest challenges are create students confidence in the differents skills like SPEAKING.
ReplyDeleteOk, I just share opinions with my friend and collegue Marlo. There is something in common that we have and it is to stop the learning students thinking in Spanish, and to convince them to read and to practice English. For me that is a problem too, but I can add that a big challenge for me is to quit their fear of making mistakes when they are learning English.
ReplyDeleteOne of my biggest challenges is working on advanced content because is part of the school year but dealing with students who have not previously received English.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenge for any teacher is to get your students really involved in the learning process, it's very easy for them to just "float along" the whole lesson while pretending they are putting their hearts in it. Another issue, more on the practical side, when we're working with big groups (forty plus students) it's really challenging to organize your 40minutes in order for the students to practice as much as posible in a supervised enviroment.
ReplyDeleteHi, everybody. I think the biggest problem specially in public schools is that there are different levels of knowledge. They start high school and suddenly listen English, and get scared. There is a big wall to we should work on.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, it is one of the biggest challenges in each class. There are many levels in the whole class. Some of them are good at English and some of them hate it because they don't understand anything. However, as a teacher, we have to include active activities where students can express their feelings and emotions. I told my students every class don´t be afraid, just do it. It doesn't matter the mistakes the most important is to try to communicate with each other. Even if some of them try to laugh when someone is talking. I try to do it but not always because of the time.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenge for getting students to practice a lot of English in class is STUDENTS ´ SHYNESS. They feel weird when speaking and classmates don´t help to improve this aspect because they judged them. As a teacher it is my responsibility to guide and encourage them.
ReplyDeleteI think that one of the challenges that we have, its to make the students feel confident in the class in order to make them use the language because in some cases they can be afraid to make mistakes so thats why they do not participe as we expect.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenges for getting students to practice English in class is to get them involved in the learning process, this will allow to the students communicate and interact with the other. In Ecuador, there are many students in a course with different levels. It is a great challenge to help them develop the skills in them
ReplyDeleteI think that the challenges to learn English language are a lot, but it is there where we as teachers must motivete our students to learn from mistakes and lose the fear when they have to speak in front of the class I think it is a bit difficult but not impossible for them. Now They must know that learn English is so important for their future
ReplyDeleteHello, I think that the biggest challenge is to our as teachers because We create and implement appropriate and creativity activities to get learners involved in our class
ReplyDeleteFor me the main challenge is the constant change, in the society, cultural diversity of the student and the teachers because the teacher need actualization and student need active participation.
ReplyDeletestudents need to practice more in the classroom to find many ways in the school to engaged students.
ReplyDeleteAs teachers we always look for new strategies for our students. However, many students need to be encouraged every day to get involved in the speaking activities because they feel nervous or upset to talk in front of the class.
ReplyDeleteIn my case the biggest challenge that I had to face with my students is the lack of interest from the students, even if we as teachers try to get all students involved in the teaching learning process with different activities they do not want to participate in the activities because they are afraid of making mistakes and think the rest of the students are going to laugh at them.
ReplyDeleteI think, keeping them motivated to speak the target language is one The biggest challenges. In addition, the amount of students per class makes difficult to monitor all of them.
ReplyDeleteHello, one of the biggest challenges is develop the habit for the reading activities for example.. Everyone knows if you read have most possibility to get more vocabulary and improve it..
ReplyDeleteIn my English classes the great challenge is that some students are not interested in the language, perhaps because they find it difficult to learn it, but to overcome this use different strategies such as dialogues, games, and theaters in English, this has given good results
ReplyDeleteFor me the best activity is act out my studentsthe activities for working qith my students in the classroom are related with the listening skill many times it result difficult ,motivation is an important factor in english the hours are always limited,we need more and more hours for teach.
ReplyDeleteWeel I consider there are some challenges to get students to practice English. one of them is there are some classrooms which have a lot of students. In other cases some students need to know more vocabulary in order to practice the language. However is the teacher who hast to find out the best activities which fit to students in order to practice the lanaguage.
ReplyDeleteHello, I think the biggest challenges for getting students to practice a lot of English in class in the Institution that I work is the fear to pronounce and make the others students laught.
ReplyDeleteI'll talk about learner centered teaching : Teachers have to be creative, responsable and get enough knowledge for teaching in order to get better results in learning process. First able, let students do the hard messy work of learning because they are not passive recipients of knowledge, then give autonomy and responsibility to students for material they learn and their own learning in general, after that, use highly engaging core content that meets the needs of the students, give feedback to help students to improve, and utilize multiple teaching techniques appropriate for student learning goals.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, there are some challenges that as teachers, we have to overcome but the most important I think is in us because if a teacher has that vocation to share, the teacher will look for the way to do it well, the professor will look for the best techniques he/she needs according to the level of English he/she is teaching, the skill which he/she wants to develop in the students. Not all of us like training because honestly, we make many excuses such as not having money or not having the time that on many occasions are not real, they are simply obstacles to not doing things well.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very important challenge to beat, many teachers work because we have a fixed salary but we lack vocation and the desire to provide to our students a quality product with which they have engaged with it and happy to have acquired.
Think about that colleagues.
The biggest challengers are teacher has to be well prepared in order to be in front of them, have clear what are you going to teach, also try to engaged to students into collaborative groups works assigning a responsibility activities to each one in the group, make sure they are using English language etc. Besides try to apply strategies according their ages and their needs.
ReplyDeleteHello everybody in my opinión the challenges that we front in the classroom is the time and the poor self confidence of our students. For this reason is very important to plan effective activities.
ReplyDeleteToo many students in the class and learning styles.
ReplyDeleteStudents are afraid to speak in English in front of their classmates, because they are afraid of mispronouncing and that the grammar they use is not correct. That is the reason why teachers should apply cooperative work in the classroom in order to provide more confidence to students regarding the use of English as a means of communication and in this way students learn between creating their own concepts or knowledge and at the same time they increase their self-esteem and self-confidence.
ReplyDeleteel poco tiempo en las aulas, para muchas actividades.
ReplyDeleteUno de los mayores desafíos es que el padre de familia colabore, motive y valore la enseñanza del idioma inglés.
ReplyDeleteHello, I think that one of the biggest challenges is develope the four skills, as one habit into the class, Some students are not interested in the Language, because the studentes find it difficult to learn. They said English is not important for them. The biggest challenges will be that in our country has in each school one Laboratory for our Subject
ReplyDeletefor students practice the skills .
I think the biggest challenge is to let them know the real importance of the English language, but the REAL one, without that language even they cant play video games jjj because the games are in English,
ReplyDeleteAs a teacher, I feel like I need to know more about video games...it seems like a powerful tool for motivating students...
DeleteI consider one of the challenges is the lack of confidence in speaking the English Language. The lack of confidence is also one of the reasons by which the students cannot speak the English language in public. They are not confident about themselves to speak the English language in front of people. This is usually caused by the teachers, the teachers not giving sufficient encouragement to speak the English language in public. Usually, the teachers didn’t encourage them to speak English in the classroom or in front of people. They learn the English language but they didn’t learn how to speak it. This one of the problems that mostly the students faced in the classroom or in front of people.
ReplyDeleteHi, I am Maydi Hermosa again :) According to my experience one of the biggest challenges to get students to work in groups is external to the classroom. The supervisors usually want our classes be silent, focusing on disciplinary issues rather than learning ones. Even some supervisors don't want students out of the classroom. Now, I work in an high school in which I usually work in groups without problems with supervisors.
ReplyDeleteThanks Maydi- It's so hard to teach a language silently. :-( Language is noisy!
DeleteI think the biggest challenges for getting students to practice a lot of English in class is that they work in group, in pairs and making proyect. We as teachers shouldn´t be the center of the activities.
ReplyDeleteThe lack of enviroment to make them practice because the only setting they have is the classroom, appart from it they are not expose to the language to develop their skills.
ReplyDeleteI think that interesting activities help to the students improved the level ofrece English.
ReplyDeleteThe students do not feel comfortable speaking in English, because the other students can laugh or make jokes at them. Like teachers we need to provide a good classroom environment, use previous knowledge , familiar topics and support them, so when they try to speak in another language they are relax and do not worry about mistakes.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenge for those young people who are from different community centers come from afar and in their homes they speak their mother tongue, Shuar, then Spanish, and when they go to town to school, they begin with the knowledge of the foreign language, English, so you have to plan activities. that calls the interest, speaking and writing several times.
ReplyDeleteI think that English teaching is a very difficult challenge when you have a lot of students in the same classroom and you do not have enough time to practice with your students. Therefore, students need to participate in a comfortable way, so it is important to improve the student´ s participation and motivate them all the time. We can use didactic material and work in groups. We should focus on the student´ s needs to get better their English learning. In addition, we should put Learner - Center Teaching into practice in our classrooms constantly.
ReplyDeleteEste tipo de enseñanza es muy importante tanto para el estudiante cuanto para el docente. El desafío está en que los chicos puedan interactuar
ReplyDeleteI believe that as a teacher can decide what strategies are the best match for students' needs to become creative.we have to aware to do teamwork and support among them. Instructors need to work many roles at the same time in the classroom.Keep students expectation and interests involving them in topics of their interests as movies, famous artists, celebrations and songs using tech devices to do those activities.encourage good settings through opportunities where they can stablish their own schedules. Another can be to work with projects so all of them can get involved and participate in the activity. Studnets nedd to feel confident with the tasks while their are developing skills. In addition we must take in account each students skills. It depends on if the pupil can be audithory, visual, or among others.
ReplyDeleteThe students to have a biggest challenge need most hours of study. They should practice with differet classmates all time.
ReplyDeleteThe teachers have to improve those activities such as speaking. Listening.
The other hand the students do not get a good challenge in your English. If they are not motivate to practice in team the skills of the English.
In my opinion the biggest challengue is that students find a lot of dificulties in the writing because they think that grammar has the same order or sequence as spanish, also they establish themselves barriers in developing speaking and listening skill due the pronunciation changes. We need as teachers and also we are in the duty to motivate them, teaching through several techniques, moreover we need to support in the ICT tools, in order to make the classes more interesting to engage the students' attention. We have to change our way of teaching and focus on learned centered teaching.
DeleteI think that two of the biggest challentes for getting students to practice English in class is the large number of students. That is why, it is difficult to interact with them. In addition, some students have a negative attitude even though the teacher motivates them.
ReplyDeleteThere are some challenges for getting students to practice English, such as: the space of the classroom is not according to the number of the students. Some students are shy and they are afraid to speak English because they think that their peers might have fun of them. Some students do not like English and they do not feel motivated because they think that English is not important.
ReplyDeleteTo my mind, the biggest challenge for getting students to practice English in class is the time and the excessive number of students, it doesn't allow to develop the skills of the language to have an effective communication. in addition, students don't practice the acqired knoledge outside the class because of their context.
ReplyDeleteI think the biggest challenges for getting students to practice English is to create a dynamic class with interesting topics
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenges for getting students to practice English is that they feel uncomfortable speaking English because they think they are making mistakes, so when they work in groups (expecting that they practice SPEAKING) they use their mother tongue. It is difficult for them to express their ideas because their level is low.
ReplyDelete. The biggest challenges for students to develop communication in the classroom is losing fear when speaking, that is why the teacher must seek strategies to reach the student and make the language more pleasant to understand.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, the biggest challenges are the limited time to practice in class and the number of students in class. It would be better if we had classes with few students to develop the communicative skills and engage them in a significant learning process.
ReplyDeleteIt is very important to take into consideration about their English level and their learning styles then step by step we have to make them feel comfortable to practice, also we can`t judge them if they make mistakes when they speak in front of their classmates. Also as teachers we should include relevant activities in order to get them involved into practice group work, pair work activities are the best because all of the students have the opportunity to practice they speaking and the motivation is essential for better learning.
ReplyDeleteI Think that the biggest challenges to learn in each student. First students must know vocabulary and grammar and practice Listening in a centry laboratory. Furthermore I think to work in group with them. It would be better to speak English one by one.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenges not only for the students but also for the teachers are facing the limitation of time, one pedagogical hour is not enough for developing students speaking skills, the time ran out too fast. Another one is that most of the classes have around 35-40 students pear class and not everybody could have the opportunity to participate, also the teacher is not able to answer all the questions from the students in 40 minutes. Among other issues.
ReplyDeleteI consider it related to the kind of topic and motivation. I mean that, firstly, the topic that you want to teach must be related to student`s interested in. Secondly, its depend on motivation continuum.
ReplyDeleteHello, there are many challenges, but he biggest challenge for getting students to practice a lot of English in class is the lack of interest to learn a second language. The environment where they move every day makes them to lose the interest. I mean if my students from higher levels work in multinational companies where the english languge is required, they'd really practice the english language every day to improve their communication.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the biggest challenge to teach English to the students is the speaking skill because they have fear between classmates, both individually and as a couple. They have fear of being wrong. Another situation is the listening, don't have consentration.
ReplyDeleteHello, I think there are some challenges for the students to practice a lot of English in class. It is the environment that develop the class, sometimes for the Listening skill there is some nosy and that causes deconcentration.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenges for getting students to practice a lot of English class is that they participe more often in all the skills and develop a big interest for this language with interactive class in pairs or in group , making an effort both inside and outside the classroom is essential.
ReplyDeleteThere must be a bunch of challenges for teachers and students. From my teaching experience switching from a very Traditional Teacher-Centered approach to a more Student-Centered classroom would be the biggest challenge that our teaching practices have to face.
ReplyDeleteI consider that the best challenge is to involve students in the task that we are working since they need motivation all of the time as well as lose the fear when they can't understand what to do.
ReplyDeleteI consider that the best challenge of teaching English is when students translate their knowledge through practice in everyday life, so it is important that English teaching is related to the student's basic environment and adapts to their academic needs. .
ReplyDeleteHello, the most challenging in my english practices is the fact that most Ss. Are not really interested in english but Just a requirement, yet I've had a few Ss. Who have been really eager to learn and improve.
ReplyDeleteI think that the biggest challenges for getting students to practice a lot of English in class is the comprehension of the language, because if you don't understand the language you can't learn. Besides, lack of educational resources such as English labs where students can listen, practice the English language-
ReplyDeleteGreat reflexion! Me and my friend say the biggest challenge at english language student practice is encourage our student to speak between them for the most time as posible as we plan. They should eliminate the shyness and empower themselves.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenge, I believe is to change traditional teaching to a new approach where student is the center of the teaching-learning process. Communicative learning teaching method will help students to practice more English in classes.
ReplyDeleteHola muy interesante el vídeo mi reto es lograr que mis estudiantes se motiven a hablar en grupo e individual en inglés y también las demás destrezas ya que yo soy docente de primero a décimo año
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenge is getting them to realize that they need to practice. They do it because it a school requirement but they do not see it as a need. Really "motivate" the students is probably the hardest challenge faced in class.
ReplyDeleteI think that the best challenge is when we get that the students are actively prepared to listen the class and they practice every day suing the vocabulary learn
ReplyDeleteHi.... I think that the biggest challenge could be communication.... when the students start a conversation and they do it with fluency... they are more motivated and feel better.
ReplyDeleteis a great opportunity
ReplyDeleteI think that the biggest challenges for getting students to practice a lot of english is interact between them, but it is most significant when we give them the space and interact with them,
ReplyDeleteI considero that tha biggest challenge to students aren't interested because their leer are slow and in each course we can find different levels.
ReplyDeleteThe challenge as a teacher is to take students from knowledge to practice. Since my experience of students have developed mental barriers in acquiring a new language, I think that it should teach students to think in English to have a better teaching-learning.
ReplyDeleteThe biggest challenge for me is to get students interested in learning the language
ReplyDeleteHI! thanks this very nice questions. I think all recommended answer are good and to be considered but to me, I think the best ways are as follows:
ReplyDelete1. Organizing class competition such like SPELING B, PEAKING CONTEST, MUSIC CONTEST
2. A teacher must always to students in the class with a nice smile and begin the class with an entertaintive programmes like, pick and act, tingo- tengo. this is one way or the other to win the heart of the students in class and it also prepares the minds of the students for the class activities
3. simple and easy tasks should be send to students always so that they can study and study very well to understand and be more familiar with the respective works
4. more conversation activities
5. Focusing more on pronounciations as well as vacabularies
I think the biggest challenges are many, one of them is the low level of knowledge in English that the students have, another one could be the shyness of them , and also the big number of students in classrooms. It should be entertainment programs in the class to get students interest about English.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon all, I think the biggest challenges to students in practicing English are; First, low English level, second, they feel afraid to speak in public, third, the environment they live are not appropriate, I mean, even we as teachers we do not have too much English practicing because our environment is Spanish. That is why lack of interest in practicing appears and students don not care to learn.
ReplyDeleteOne of the biggest challenges is to get students are motivated to use the language. They are afraid of making mistakes in speaking mainly. In addition, they don't like to study and think that learning-english isnot necessary to them.
ReplyDeleteI think the students develop speaking skill and they are involved actively in the activities as work in pair or in Group . They can practice more . All skills requieres practice for getting good results in class .
ReplyDeleteI thank that students should practice as a group in class.
ReplyDeleteLaura Tapia. I consider the best challenge in the classroom is the teacher. Dont be a traditional teacher will give the opportunity to our students create, practice the language with your partner or in small groups.
